What a whirlwind, is it May 1st yet?

Hello readers!

I have been away for 13 days and what a CRAZY 13 days it has been! I apologize for disappearing, but I have been packing, vacationing and shooting! Derich and I took a trip to Orlando, FL to enjoy a "staycation" at Universal Studios. As a Harry Potter fanatic, Harry Potter World was something I could've only dreamt about. Not to mention, I drank my weight in Butter Beer

I am so pleased to announce that I have another shoot with the lovely Shanna from Peppermint Wind Photography this Saturday, the 30th. New girls, new inventory, new concepts. This time, I'm going to squeeze in my own time to get photographed... WOWZERS! No more cell phone self portraits and you'll finally get to see the handsome face of my love, Derich.

I also shot with Jamie Graham and Brian Storey this week for LUUTGEAR, a clothing company in New York. This was my first time with Brian Story, and I was very happy to be part of such a great team.

I am also proud to announce that I will be moving to Miami, from West Palm Beach, and helping my mother move to Denver. I would much rather move to a place where it snows half of the year, but I'll settle for vacationing there instead. I just don't think I could be upset living in a place where it's appropriate to drink warm coffee outside all year round. Drinking warm anything in south Florida is nearly impossible without nearly getting dehydrated. I'll be visiting there for a week during the middle of next month and hopefully shooting a couple lovely Denverians.

I have been fighting the urge to purchase another Chihuahua, seeing as I have been so busy and will only be getting busier. The local shelter is dropping the adoption fee of their Chihuahuas to $20 all spring. Please adopt one of the babies here if you can, so I can live vicariously through you.

I am also pleased to announce that I will be a featured vendor on Threadflip this week! If you haven't checked out this sight, and you're an avid online shopper, I highly recommend it. I told you it's been a whirlwind. Life is going so well and I could not be happier.

Below I've posted a few (horrible quality) photos of my week this past week. I'll be updating my portfolio, which means more pictures of new items listed on my Etsy.

Until next time darlings!

Xoxo,
B

Beautiful Ballerina.

As a child I always wanted to do ballet, but I was way too involved with Student Council and track to participate in any other activities. So it comes as no surprise that I lived vicariously through Caitlin as she danced her way through this shoot! The leotard was from American Apparel and I thought see-thru mesh might be too much for our daytime shoot, so I added the cardigan and belt. It turned into a business casual outfit, but the ballet poses definitely added more movement to the garments.
You can see the original look without a sweater in the first photo and the cardigan looks in the others. You can understand my envy and awe when you see how delicate and dainty Caitlin looked throughout the entire shoot!
Don't forget to check out my Etsy to purchase anything you see posted on here. :)

Have a fantastic day!

P.s I have four upcoming shoots within the next two weeks, so I apologize if the posts begin to look scarce. I can't wait to show you what I've been working on!

Beach day with Jack.

I had just quit my job to style, blog and run my Etsy full time and I needed something to keep me company. I was bored online and saw an ad on Craigslist for a stray Chihuahua that needed a home, I met him and instantly fell in love. He was such an unexpected addition to my life, but it was the best impulse decision I've ever made. I understand now what it's like to have another life depending on you, and that lesson has meant more to me than anything else.

Yesterday we, as in my boyfriend (Derich) and I, took Jack to the Jetty. He had never seen the beach before, so he was running around and jumping like crazy! He was 9 pounds of pure joy. Chasing the waves and loving the wind pushing past his ears. I have never seen him so happy.

I've posted a couple of photos from our adventure.
Enjoy! :)

Bryn

All that glitters is gold.

I received photos from Shanna today, from Peppermint Wind Photography and I fell in love with this metallic gold dress all over again! It's a long maxi dress and I continue to contemplate whether or not I should take it down and keep it for myself, but it seems so selfish to do so. You can find this lovely garment here.

Caitlin did such a great job showing movement in the dress and Shanna did such a great job capturing it. I think my favorite is the photo taken by the big tree. It was the largest tree I've ever seen in Florida. The tree easily stood one hundred feet tall and twenty feet in diameter. I've seen large trees like that in San Francisco and Nashville, but never in Florida. The tree was almost as impressive as the dress! (Wink, wink.)

I'll be posting more photos this week as I go through the photos I receive, as I get them.

^Whew, I'm not sure if that was proper English, but it was definitely a mouthful! Regardless of whether it was proper English or not, I hope you understood. Haha!

Have a wonderful day darlings.

Vintage + Lace = Perfection

Good evening! Here's a couple photos from a shoot I styled in December.
The lace top was a top I found at a thrift store in Nashville several years ago, and I've never seen anything comparable to it! I'm absolutely in love with it, but I haven't worn it in years and I felt like it deserved a good home. It's definitely more of an Autumn/ Winter piece, but it could be used as a transition piece during Spring.

The photographs were taken by my good friend, Shanna at Peppermint Wind Photography in Sunny South Florida!
If you love the top it can be found here. I hope you all are having a wonderful March day!

Hello, I'm Bryn.

Please allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Brittany, but I go by Bryn. I've found that there are so many gals that were given the name Brittany between the years 1988- 1995 that it has become the new "John" of my generation, and can get a little confusing. So, I've found a pseudo name that I've grown to love, courtesy of Vampire Weekend. (Feel free to enjoy my inspiration here.)

I grew up in a small town in south Florida and moved to Nashville immediately upon completing college. I worked at a family-owned boutique in Nashville and I loved every minute of it! Nashville gave me a sense of purpose that I felt I had lacked in Florida. I knew I wasn't a big city girl, but I knew I was yearning for something else and Nashville gave me the perfect mix of a safety net with friendly people, and the hustle and bustle of culture that I had been lacking. In Nashville, I had the opportunity to style people like Stella Parton, Brooke Hogan, Kenny Chesney, and Miranda Lambert. It was such a whirlwind experience and a part of my heart will always reside in that wonderful city.

I am now living back in south Florida and I couldn't be happier. I have a wonderful boyfriend, named Derich, and an adorable chihuahua, named Jack, who are my support system and sidekicks.

At 23-years-old, how many ladies do you know can say they're doing EXACTLY what they love and wouldn't change a thing? I'm so blessed to be part of that statistic... whatever the actual statistic might be.

Anyhow, it's nice to meet you!
I'll be posting my adventures, successes, failures and so forth.
Stay posted and feel free to share anything you'd like with me as well!
Xoxo,
Bryn
